South Africa’s state-owned power utility has launched Eskom Green, saying it would add 5.6GW of new renewable energy by 2030 and 21GW by 2035.
Eskom Green has launched a R1.2 billion initiative to integrate renewable energy into its existing coal-fired power station network, starting with a 75 MW solar facility at the Lethabo plant.
