Private South African companies planning to create four times more power than Eskom’s entire fleet
Over the next 10 years, private electricity producers plan to build renewable plants with roughly four times the capacity of Eskom’s fleet. Planned battery capacity alone is on par with Eskom’s existing generating capacity.
